Privacy Policy

Poker Chips Royale is built to collect as little as possible. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking in the app. This policy explains, in plain language, what little data does move and why, across the iOS app, the coming Android app, the browser companion at pokerchipsroyale.com/join, and this website.

Who we are

Poker Chips Royale is developed and operated by Nodux Media AB, Swedish company registration number 559575-8052, with its registered seat in Nyköping municipality, Sweden. Nodux Media AB is the data controller for the processing described here. For anything in this policy, contact us at support@pokerchipsroyale.com or through the support page.

The app on your device

The iOS app (and the Android app, when it ships) works without an account and without an internet connection. Your games, player names, stacks, statistics and settings are stored only on your own device. We cannot see them, and they are never uploaded to us.

When you host a table over the local connection, game data travels directly between the devices sitting at your table. It does not pass through our servers.

Online tables and the browser companion

When you choose to host or join an online table, the table needs a relay to carry messages between devices that are not on the same network. In that case the following data passes through our relay service (hosted in the European Union by Supabase):

the room code of the table,
the display name each player types in, and
the game state itself (stacks, bets, pots).

This data is used only to run your table while you play. It is transient: we do not build profiles from it, and we do not keep game content after the session is over. Display names are whatever you choose to type; a nickname works fine.

The browser companion stores a small amount of data in your browser (such as your seat and display name) so you can reconnect if you drop out. That data stays in your browser and can be cleared at any time. See the cookie policy for details.

Purchases

The optional Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase. The payment itself is handled entirely by Apple's App Store, and by Google Play once the Android version is available. Apple or Google processes the payment; we never see your card details, billing address or identity.

To check whether you own the Pro upgrade, and to let you restore it after reinstalling or on a new device, the app uses RevenueCat as its purchase provider. When you open the paywall or make a purchase, RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt from Apple or Google, an anonymous identifier it generates for your installation, and basic technical information such as your device type, app version and country. RevenueCat is a processor acting on our behalf and stores this data on servers in the United States. It is used only to confirm that a purchase is valid and to keep your Pro upgrade working across your devices. It is not linked to your name, your email address or anything you do at the table: your game data never reaches RevenueCat.

You do not need an account for any of this, and the anonymous identifier is not used for advertising or shared with advertisers.

This website

pokerchipsroyale.com is a static site served by Cloudflare. Like nearly every website, the hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses in server logs to deliver pages and protect against abuse; we do not use those logs to identify visitors.

The site uses Google Analytics to understand how it is used, but only if you allow it. All analytics is denied by default under Google Consent Mode v2: no analytics cookie is set and no measurement is stored until you press Accept in the cookie banner, and IP addresses are anonymized when you do. You can decline, or change your mind at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer. Details are in the cookie policy. If you accept, Google processes the measurement data on our behalf.

The support form

If you contact us through the support form, we receive the name, email address and message you enter. The message is delivered to our support inbox by our email provider (MailerSend) and is used only to answer you. We keep support conversations for as long as needed to resolve your question, then they are deleted. Nothing from the form is used for marketing, and nothing is shared with anyone else.

Children

The app contains no real-money gambling, no ads and no chat with strangers, and it does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, children included. Chips in the app have no monetary value.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export and erase personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict processing. In practice we hold very little: typically only a support email thread, if you have written to us. Email support@pokerchipsroyale.com and we will sort it out. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in Sweden that is IMY (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten).

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app or site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
